The Pirate Bay nu echt dood

The Pirate Bay is overkocht door een Zweeds softwarebedrijf, Global Gaming Factory X, dat zijn aanwinst wil omvormen tot een site die de auteursrechten van de muziek- en filmindustrie respecteert.
Met de overname is ongeveer 5,5 miljoen euro gemoeid.

Waarschijnlijk is dit een poging van de makers om van hun hoge boeteschuld af te raken, ongeveer 2,7 miljoen euro. En zo is The Pirate Bay alsnog gestorven…
